Listen, things are pretty bleak right now. We have to hold onto anything that's warm and cuddly as hard as we can. Behold: Pikachu-skinned wireless earbuds with a Pokéball charging case.
Razer announced the Pikachu Special Edition of its Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds on Monday, as spotted by Gizmodo. And, as you can see, they're an absolute delight. The earpieces and stems are both Pikachu yellow, with the outer end of the bud sporting a picture of everyone's favorite fictional electric rodent.
(Apologies to the huge Dedenne fans out there, but you know how this works by now.)
If that wasn't enough, the wireless charging case is a dang Pokéball. It would be a crime if it wasn't, really. There's even an LED in the center of the ball to indicate that it's charging, which is nice. In terms of specs, they should be the same as the regular Hammerhead True Wireless buds that you can already buy for $100. Those have 13mm drivers, passive noise reduction, and about four hours of battery life on a single charge.
SEE ALSO: Play 'Pokemon Go' at home during coronavirus pandemicAaaaaand now for the bad news: If you're reading this, it's not unreasonable to assume you live in the United States, or generally somewhere in the west. Unfortunately, these are only slated to come out in China for now. They drop on April 16 for the equivalent of about $120. Maybe you can import them or wait a bit for a western release.
Either way, just look at those photos and bask in the glow of wireless earbuds that don't look totally bogus for once.
